Raketa Moonphrase
About the watch
This one is a rarity—there’s very few of USSR-made watches equipped with moonphase complication.
The watch has Raketa 2356 quartz movement inside.
I was able to purchase a party of 3 moonphrase Raketa watches in non-running condition; I took one as a base and used the other 2 as donors. It required quite a lot of effort to make it run again.
Repairs
Following fixes have been applied:
- The motor turned out to be slightly demagnetised (leading to watch not being able to move the hands far enough to get into next stable state).
- Endshakes adjusted
- One of the dial feet was broken, I had to turn a new one on a lathe
- Axle for intermediate setting wheel has been broken; a new one has been made and pushed in to fix this
- The regulation trimmer has been adjusted slightly to make sure the watch is not losing/gaining time
Results
The watch has been restored to fully functional state.
